THE WAY OF THE MULTITUDES

The story was told of a man who saw a lot of people on a queue and he thought in his heart that it was the right path to his destination, only to realize that the queue with few people on it was actually the right one for him. He thought that having many people on that queue should make it the right way, but he was wrong.

Jesus gave a warning “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matt 7:13-14. Going by this warning alone, anyone who cares about his or her eternal destiny should avoid going the way of the multitudes.

The campus community is a top recruitment center for Satan where he enlists people massively into all sorts of evil and atrocities. Multitudes are being slaughtered everyday on the altar of sexual immorality just because they want to belong.

Many others are under the controlling influence of destructive substances like drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and all.  If you are following the multitudes to engage in any of these sinful practices, that’s the path to destruction except you repent. It does not matter whether they are many or not that are doing it; the command of God to you is “Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; …” Exodus 23:2.

No matter the pollution of the land, the gate that leads to life everlasting will not be in want of people that will deny themselves of the sinful pleasures of life as they live their lives daily, though they may be few because “…strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”  The decision is yours to consider if you want to be in the minority that will find the way of life or you want to remain with the multitudes on the broad way that leads to destruction. Whatever your choice is, it costs God nothing, you will be the looser in the end except you repent.
