DIVINE REVELATION OF CHRIST

Jesus asked His disciples, “whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” By divine revelation, Peter responded, “…Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matt 16:16). Despite being with Christ for some time, Peter was not mistaken about the identity of His Master. This perception was from a fresh dimension. It was beyond carnal or casual knowledge but a transcendental inspiration from the divine to the mortal flesh.

Truly, you cannot know the things of the Spirit except you are of the Spirit. “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him;…” I Corinthians 2:14. The natural man is the carnal and unconverted man.

To start with, coming into a relationship with God must be by the help of the Spirit of God, not by struggling. Jesus says unto Nicodemus in John 3:5 “…, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water

and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.” This in itself is a mystery, according to I Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness...” to be born of water and of the Spirit. For a condemned sinner to become a heaven-bound saint is one of the deep mysteries of the Kingdom of God. How it happens is a mystery only the Spirit of God can tell. But one thing is required from the sinner – personal repentance and turning away from sin.

Peter had a divine revelation of Christ and he was not the same. By this revelation, he became a pillar of the Church and received the keys of authority to bind and loose in heaven and in earth. God always has special interest in those who strive to know Him in a deeper dimension. Having a divine revelation of Christ is all you need as a youth to launch into a life of extraordinary usefulness, but it begins by having a personal relationship with Him.
