THE POWERFUL REMEDY
Bette Nesmith was a secretary at a bank in Dallas when she decided there must be a way to correct typewriter mistakes without erasing the ink. She came up with a formula for a fluid that she could use to paint over mistakes. In a short time, all of the secretaries in her office were using her correction fluid. Betty called her product, “Mistake Out,” and began a business selling it full time. Jesus’ blood does not “mistake out” our sin; it washes us whiter than snow. It’s a powerful remedy for the sin of mankind. “For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And
almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission” Hebrews 9: 13-14, 22.
The entire human race became sentenced to death as a result of the Adamic sin. The blood was the only means for atonement, and of all sacrifices, only the blood of Jesus was perfect, and offers redemption for the sin of mankind. Are you thinking that your situation is beyond remedy and you already given up on yourself? No matter what you have done, the blood of Jesus is powerful and efficacious. When it washes no sin remains.
Here is God’s invitation to you, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18. The blood of Jesus is the powerful remedy.
