John 10:16
A weekly e-publication of Campuslightafrica Mission No. 3 January 2021
I watched the interview of a man of God recently who outlined how his typical day goes. He starts his day at 3a.m with personal prayers and study of God’s word. By 5a.m, he gathers his family for devotion, after which he embarks on his daily prayer walk/exercise that lasts for 90 minutes to 2 hours. Then, he takes his bath and leaves for the office. He sets the agenda for the day in-between these activities and writes down what he will do, the people he would see and the meetings for the day.
This lifestyle is not peculiar with this man of God alone. Not just in the time each person starts the day, but in the organization and consistency in doing what matters most and adds value to living. This is what it takes to succeed in life. I have not known any successful person in any field of endeavor who does not have a working understanding of this principle.
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.” Proverbs 6: 6-8
thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.” Proverbs 6: 20-22.
Dear student, the campus world is critical because it defines the trajectory of your life. It’s a host to both positive and life-altering decisions (career, marriage, ministry etc.). Many of the decisions taken at this level may leave scars that sometimes become unerasable later in life. What decision are you taking right now that could bring you to regret? Pull the reverse gear now! Choose the path of obedience to God. If you are in a mess like Kate already seek help before it is too late.
Yield your life to God now and forsake the wayward path that leads to destruction and regret. Obedience to God will position your life for perpetual open heaven. He will take you from where you are to where you never think you would ever get to in life. Obedience brings the blessing!
