In these few years of my walking with God, I will be the first to say that God is a God of new things. No matter how great things He has done, He is able to do again and again what no one has ever seen. He is able to do a new thing today that will be nothing compare to what He has done before. He is also able to do a new thing by bringing hope to a seemingly hopeless situation.
“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert” Isaiah 43:18. This declarative and hope-filled pronouncement came to a people that have spent the last seventy years of their lives in captivity and were now home sick. God showed up for them as He had promised.
God is beginning to do something new in your life and
through you and you have to see it. According to the NLT Bible “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?….” It doesn’t matter how awful your situation may be, it takes God nothing because He will make a pathway through the wilderness and create rivers in the dry wasteland to bring this to pass.
It is up to you to welcome the new thing that God is beginning to bring forth in your life. You don’t want to be the obstacle to God at this time. You must give up your own will so that His will and pronouncement can find fulfillment in your life. If you are ready to make this happen pray this prayer now. Lord Jesus, I open up my heart, and I give up my own will to embrace your will for my life at this time. I will now live to please you. Let the new thing begin in my life as you have said in Jesus name. Amen.
