AFTER THE MIRACLE

Part of the revival we are praying for is that more and more people will gather to pray and sing praises to our God. We have seen how God has turned the social media and other online platforms into a prayer and worship arena. In fact, top on some of the streaming platforms at the moment are some of the Christian programmes people connect to. We have seen over a million people connect live online in one night to worship God. Glory be to God!

We pray that this continues, but we will pray more that this worship of God will translate into a changed life. By the way, what use is it when people gather to seek God for miracles but are not ready to live for God? We connect to early morning prayers and still go to the office to continue a life of dishonesty and fraud. We connect to sing worship to God in the middle of the night to receive miracles, and yet we are not transformed. We cannot be so desperate for God to change our lives for good, and we are not ready to quit a life of disobedience to God.  At the time of Jesus, the Bible says, “And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.” John 6:2. If that is what we see today, that is not the revival we are praying for. The revival we are praying for is that people will not only be religious, but they will become truly spiritual. They will not only connect to early morning prayer and join any challenge, but they will turn their lives over to God and live for Christ.

Do not let your life be like that of those who only seek God because of benefits but are not willing to follow Him in obedience. There is this story about a vineyard in Isaiah 5:2 that says, “And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.” If all that God can find in your life after all His kindness towards you is wild grapes instead of the fruits of repentance, that is shameful. Concerning that vineyard, God said, “I will take away the edge thereof” May that not be your portion. Repent!
