A NEW HORIZON
I am the New Year. I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.
I am your next chance at the art of living. I am your opportunity to practice what you have learned about life during the last twelve months.
All that you sought and didn’t find is hidden in me, waiting for you to search it but with more determination.
All the good that you tried for and didn’t achieve is mine to grant when you have fewer conflicting desires.
All that you dreamed but didn’t dare to do, all that you hoped but did not will, all the faith that you claimed but did not have—these slumber lightly, waiting to be awakened by the touch of a strong purpose.
I am your opportunity to renew your allegiance to Him who said, “Behold, I make all things new.”
Jesus made a parable about a certain man who had a fig tree planted in his vineyard and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. His immediate
decision was to cut down the tree so it would not continue to occupy space for nothing, but the vinedresser pleaded for another chance for the fig tree in Luke 13:8-9.
8And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
Dear reader, 2022 can be the best year of your life if you approach it with a strong sense of purpose. There is no need to regret about the failure of the past, focus on the future! Tap into every God-given resources at your disposal and be the best that you can. Happy New Year!
