Part 1: Holy Spirit and the coming revival
Dr. Charles S. Price, a notable evangelist, said in a sermon he preached shortly before his death: “Yesterday we sang ‘Showers of Blessings,’ but now we are waiting for the deluge! It is coming and nothing can stop it. You have thought, have you not, that you have been in some glorious healing services? Perhaps you have and for them we praise the Lord. But wait a little while. I declare unto you that God is going to do better in your tomorrows than He has ever done in the past.”
Everywhere you turn it’s a resounding echo of the coming revival. No doubt, there is coming an unprecedented revival that will shake the world. This revival will bring about massive conversion and awakened consciousness of God. But we may miss out on this if we fail to get right the very source of this revival, which is the Holy Spirit. If there will be true revival, we must definitely experience the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as promised by God
Himself “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; …” (Joel 2:28). This outpouring is the very center of revival, and we look forward with the eyes of faith and great expectations.
But how can this be when the Devil is already succeeding in making us focus on speaking in tongues without the power. He wants to hinder us from the substance while we carry shadow all around. It is the height of deception when sinners speak in tongues and believers learn how to speak in tongues without the manifestation of the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. How can we command exploits like the generals of God both in the past and in the present? If things continue this way, then, we have become a failed generation and we will never experience the true revival.
